Practice locating the activation switch by feel, in a pocket or bag, so you’re not fumbling to find it under stress. Familiarity is the difference between hesitation and confident use.
Keep your stun gun secured and out of reach of children at all times when not on your person. Treat it with the same seriousness as any personal defense tool.
Understand that a stun gun is a contact deterrent — it requires you to be within arm’s reach of a threat. Pair it with awareness and, when possible, distance and de-escalation first.
