Rechargeable vs Battery-Powered Stun Guns: Which Is Better?
Rechargeable and battery-powered stun guns both have a place — here’s how Type-C rechargeable models compare on reliability, cost, and readiness.
By Cheetah Stun Gun

Every Cheetah stun gun in our current lineup is rechargeable via Type-C, and there’s a reason we’ve moved the entire catalog in that direction: readiness.
Battery-powered devices depend on you remembering to have a spare on hand. A stun gun with a dead battery at the wrong moment isn’t a tool — it’s dead weight. Rechargeable models remove that variable as long as you build charging into your routine.
Type-C charging also means one cable does double duty — the same cable that charges your phone or headphones can top off your stun gun, which makes it far more likely you’ll actually keep it charged.
The tradeoff is planning: a rechargeable device needs a charging habit, ideally a weekly top-up regardless of use, so it’s never caught at a low charge when you need it most.
Our recommendation: treat your stun gun like your phone. Charge it on the same schedule, keep it in the same spot, and it will be ready every time you reach for it.
